Square side plate

Each side plate is handmade in small batches by Sarah in our studio.

The side plate features traditional border patterns often seen in Korean books, textiles, paintings and furniture. Our plates are hand-carved and filled using traditional Korean techniques. This style also reminds Sarah of wood inlay patterns in Georgian antique furniture that is often found in London.

All pieces are designed, hand-built/ thrown, and glazed in our studio. Each piece is unique, so you can expect subtle variations in colour, form and size, including within pieces of the same batch. We find this to be a quiet reminder of the nature of artisan handiwork. 

As this piece contains our signature crackled exterior glaze, our personal preference is to treat it with care (for example, hand wash instead of using a dishwasher).
