Lotus plate - Bespoke

This Lotus Plate is an archival piece (no. 001). It features Sarah's late grandfather's name, hand painted in red underglaze to resemble his name stamp, as a tribute to his quiet artistic pursuits. It's her expression of yearning for more time and conversations with him. 

Material: Stoneware clay body with natural fleck.

All pieces are designed, hand-built/ thrown, and glazed in our studio. Each piece is unique, so you can expect subtle variations in colour, form and size, including within pieces of the same batch. We find this to be a quiet reminder of the nature of artisan handiwork. 

As this piece contains our signature crackled exterior glaze, our personal preference is to treat it with care (for example, hand wash instead of using a dishwasher).
